ELOISE MUMFORD stars on Amazon Prime’s new hit crime thriller “CROSS” based on the NY Times bestselling author James Patterson’s #1 hero. Eloise plays Shannon Witmer, a pivotal character and the main victim in the series that Cross fights to save throughout the whole show. All episodes are available to stream now and the show was #1 worldwide for weeks following its release.
Eloise is best known as Kate Kavanagh in the Universal Pictures Feature Trilogy 50 Shades of Grey as Anastasia (Dakota Johnson)’s best friend / roommate who begins a relationship with Christian Grey’s older brother. Previously, Eloise played Mercury 7 astronaut Gordon Cooper’s wife and an accomplished pilot herself, Trudy Cooper, on the Nat Geo / Disney + series “The Right Stuff” adapted from Tom Wolfe’s book. She is She also starred in the film Standing Up, Falling Down with Billy Crystal and Ben Schwartz. The comedy premiered at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival.
A Washington state native and a 2009 Tisch/NYU graduate, Eloise understudied Elizabeth Moss in Speed the Plow on Broadway while still in school, ultimately going on opposite William H. Macy and Raul Esparza. On the television side, Eloise has recurred on NBC’s “Chicago Fire” as well as starring on the FOX series “Lone Star,” and ABC’s “The River.”
