Born in Taiwan, raised in Upland, California, Ivan Shaw began acting while studying Math and Economics at UCLA. Shortly after graduating, he moved to New York for a contract role on All My Children. During that time, he worked in various Off Broadway productions before landing the primetime NBC series The Book of Daniel. Following the series, he began writing and directing while appearing in shows like Better Things, New Girl, Hulu’s Casual, and HBO’s Insecure. His film credits include Amazon’s Nocturne, Netflix’s Life Happens, and Get Him to the Greek. He went on to produce a feature film called The Time Being that would premiere at Toronto Film Festival. He can be currently seen on Fox’s The Cleaning Lady, AMC’s That Dirty Black Bag, and Apple TV’s Dear Edward, created by Jason Katims.
